Delivered something I didn't even realize I needed. Try it out!

Great music, great graphics. Best RPG I've played since Space Funeral.

Incredible game. A rollercoaster of emotions

This game was an awesome experience. Loved it from the start to the end

I now understand why it's called Franken and I feel really good about myself. Great job as always, Splendidland!

 Rating: 1,000,000/10

Cerberus really made me laugh!  Excellent work!!

Hello I feel like a dumbass but does anybody know how to make the game fullscreen? I can't even see the full alphabet to name my character :(

(+2)

if you press ALT+ENTER it should go full screen!

(+1)

Thank you! I played the game. It's awesome <3

Keep up the good work!

Omg this game is so good i almost cried (at the ending)

Also i ran this on linux (mint) but had a pretty hard time setting it all up, so just in case anyone else had issues aswell, i had to download these packages:

sudo apt-get install libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0 libsdl2-image-2.0-0 libsdl2-2.0-0

:) again, very good game

in a short span of time you got me invested in this game and my only complaint is that it wasn't longer. This was a refreshingly goofy game, and it's genuinely very good. Please make more comedy games!

(+5)

this game fucking rules

(+2)

I love watching others play this game and finally downloaded it. The game opens and the title screen appears, but without any kind of menu... is it just my crappy old computer? I'm so confused

(+2)

press enter or space-bar and the game should start!

(+1)

Thank you, I feel… so foolish

it's okay, I really should have put a "press enter" prompt or something!

(-7)

very streamlined and linear game. still good story but fighting feels empty except for a way to get more heath and drive the story a little further. dispite the dull gameplay the story is just entertaining enough to keep playing till the end. quite cute tho. :3 im still curious how the ohrrpg engine could handle some of the effects but i guess hampster magic is hampster magic

(-13)

A little too rudimentary. If you have X item or Y level, you literally cannot lose a fight.

(+22)

i think thats kinda the point

(1 edit) (+2)

I LOVE IT ALL

PS. There's a secret cave you can access once the rainbow bridge is made, but before you cross it. You have to go back from the moon and search in the mountains with the airship, but it's true, there is a secret cave.

(+3)

Very fun and creative

Such a cute game. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but that's OK, games don't have to be. If you like Earthbound, Deltarune, and/or Undertale, you'll probably like this :)

Glad this game exists.

(+2)

I mean, the creator of this is also working on Deltarune atm lol

Was searching for a game (I was bored) and this came. I started playing the game and i didn’t expect the game would be funny and well-conceived. Looks like a mix of EarthBound (i’m a fan of it) and Undertale. Music, graphics and effects were excellent, I like it! Even tho the game was short (1h) with very simple commands, this game made my day! 5 stars

PS: I don’t know if Condor was inspired from Ceasar from JJBA P2 or it’s just a coincidence but they look alike (appearence and teaming with the main character).

this game is great. the dev's got a really good sense of humour. the spriteswork's very well made, too!

(+4)

The creator exhibits some good music taste

(+1)

holy shit! i luv luv luv this game

(+1)

오오오 분위기 쩔어욤

아트도 귀엽고

(+1)

This game was so much fun - and summarizing it to people without context is even more fun hahah

(+1)(-1)

Unironically a great game!

(+3)

Ironically, the Linux port did not run on the Steam Deck, but the Windows version can

(+6)

This game looks great, I'm learning English and I want to play a re-playable short RPG game for the first time to practice what I've been learning to. I'll give it a try, thanks for the game.

(+3)

I enjoyed playing your game, it was an emotional and funny adventure. My fav character was Peafe and the ending got me too. xD

awesome experience

(+5)

The ending got me like

(+1)

it was a game that's for sure

(not in a negative way im just stunned man)

(1 edit) (+2)(-1)

this is by far !! the best (indy) game I've played in a long time!! love it !! this guy videogamedunkey made a review and I got lucky finding it =)

best game its so wholesome

a terrific experience

(+1)

i played this game when you first released it almost a year ago, but i did not have an itch.io account at the time... since then i have replayed it a few times, and now that i have an account i just want to say thank you for making this charming little game:D it has been very inspiring to me and is genuinely one of my favorite games in general because despite its size, the story/writing & artwork of this game create a super enjoyable experience, which is awesome!!! it also makes me even more excited for amazing treasure valley or any other projects you come out with:D

(+2)

Hilarious game. Writing had me laughing out loud several times but what surprised me the most was the soundtrack. Who knew jazz could mesh so well with the rpg genre?

such a sweet and wholesome game, this really made my day)

Such a jolly, heartwarming and hilarious game. Thank you for making this absolute gem!!

(+2)

what engine was this made in? revscarecrow streamed it recently, cool ending. :)

(+4)

it was made with OHRRPGCE!

(+1)

I love rev!

(+2)

I can honestly say I had more fun playing with this tiny game than playing Borderlands or Saints Row. excellent job!

I love the fantastic sprite work and, as always, your style of humour!

Just one question, is Beacon Boy's first line (in the OW not the finale) supposed to be OVER/THERE? I decoded it from Morse code but the second word after the slash '...' translates to 'S' but not 'H' (hence OVER/TSERE). Is it intentional and does it mean something else?

(+6)

thank you!

beacon boy is something of an embarrassment. it's supposed to say OVER THERE. i came up with them immediately after waking up one day, having noticed everyone who tested the game would end up getting lost during the airship segment and would go to the corners of the map, where there was nothing there. in my sleepy haze, i decided the best way to solve this would be a helpful but ominious creature that points towards the orbs and speaks in morse code. furthermore i accidently mistyped the code, so they're pretty much just not helpful at all.

a… splendid adventure (seriously, very fun and wholesome <3)

This game was a beautiful experience and makes me want to make games again, thank you for this

(+1)

This was a roller coaster (a really fun one)
